Lately, the term “cloud computing” is often misused. Being in trend, people quite frequently misuse the term for services such as: client/server applications, web hosting, email services (shared email hosting with ISP), co-location, web services and other similar services.

The greatest analogy with “cloud computing” is electricity. It is measurable (you pay how much you spend), ubiquitous, and you never know where it is produced.
